The present building was erected in 1897 on the site of an earlier chapel dating from about 1822. It is a prominent building in the centre of the community next to the village hall. Work is about to begin on new kitchen and toilet facilities. Attendance is good with a prayer meeting before worship and a very active membership in the wider community.  The improving relationship with the Anglican church is leading to some good joint activities. A viable chapel, it has a strategic association with at least nine surrounding villages. It is a good community, with shop, school, pub, and a new housing development.
